Hehe,, ok,, guess i should say how many hours i worked on this,, ok 4 days,,, at about 1 hour each day.. so 4 hours tops.. And this was my first few 2d stuff,,, so was not really bothered with price. As i wanted to get my stuff out there. But then again there is lots more to this,, then i am letting you all on, as this was just a part of a larger project. I just told you the price for the character file... Thats all.

Oh ya since this is just the part of a larger picture,,, so did not really want to say what the total price was......:p :p :p And i dont stay in US,, so guess there is some difference Cory. But very enlightening.

When you are doing big projects, and you are having stuff like radiosity and it's an animation, do you just use your computer? Do you have your own render farm? Do you just go to someone elses render farm?

I have 3 fast machines and 1 slow one but I haven't done any network rendering, mostly because I gave it a try a few years ago and it was a pain to set up. I should take some time to have that option available though. I use FPrime a lot. If I need a still with radiosity I'll do it but animations never get radiosity. Too slow even for FPrime. I'll use area lights alot.

I too agree with Cchristensen, Rad,, is just too time consuming. But on some occasions area lights or faking the rad,,, might be the way out. Oh ya i too use FPrime,, but somehow i find Lightwaves default render much better in terms of Rad. I have not setup network render. But hopefully in months to come when i am working full time,, the dual processor machine might be a great help.
