hi there!
that's my first post here...

but ive already have a... hmmm opinion on one thing (excuse me my english - it's not my first language).

i went to the competition thread... everything is kewl BUT...

when ive read that my model will be downloadable... i thought "NO WAY"...

and so... i wont participate in any of the competitions... just because of that stupid reason... kill me but i dont like this rule...

cheers,
verti.

I can understand your thoughts.
Perhaps it should be changed to that anyone can download the models for use anywhere except for commersial work?
just a thought.

DigiMatt: that is exactly what is stated there:

stating that you own the copyright of the model and allow for free download for non-commercial purposes
but this doesn't apply to the monthly challenge which will only accept still images.

So, vertiis, if you have a problem with people disecting your models you can still enter the monthly challenge.

My thought on this is: hey, a bit of sharing doesn't really hurt, does it? I'm doing all these tutes (lots of them free), providing learning material and even made my JD Bottle model and scene available for download on my site...

excuse me my english again...

what ive ment is that it should be an artist choice if he/she wants to allow others to use their models...

hmmm... ill participate in the competitions for sure than ... <- that is if deadlines of my commercial work will allow me to...

satyr vertiis.

p.s.
it's great to see a place like this...

Default Presets suggestions

Is there a place to upload presets? I couldn't find one.
If there isn't I would suggest it.

I was also wondering if in the future you will be having other catagories like hypervoxels, volumetric lights, sky tracer, LW texture enviroment...

It's cool now though I didn't see a place to upload presets.

I hope I'm not being picky but won't it be better to have catagories under the hypervoxels, volumetric lights...?
And maybe even put all the surface catagories under one catagory?
