Hmm, guess if you have the proced on then its ok,,,, but i find the laser a tad big and the proced dont quite show up,,,, a 2point poly is like thin.,,,, only 2 vertex... and when you apply the glow and stuff looks cool.... well i used that for lightning and stuff... guess i try to get you a screen shot of this one scene thats on the content directory.

Default The Surface Settings

Here is the surface settings. Of course the glow and other things you can add to get a better result... right Oh ya remember that this one has 2 cylinders,,, one out the other smaller called in... Gives a nice result and render times are great too.. Not much diff on the surface part except for color..

You really don't want to be thinking about adding lights within each laser - would take forever. Simply crank up the luminosity on the surface, and add a little glow. Also switch off shadow casting for those surfaces.

improved some stuff
- less glow more Luminosity
- added procedurals to transparency textures- got rid of shadows
-turned off the saslite for a test render

please tell me what you think i should add to it.
