I sort of like the gray, but now it seems like too many sites are gray.
Looking forward to it. Looks cool!

yes, looks a lot more professional now, plus I like the fact that each tute download page can now display *all* of the parts.

great work

Don't like it, honestly.

For one thing, text, especially small black text is harder to read from transmissive color (meaning a screen) than white. Also, It looks just like everything else out there. Very run-of-the-mill, crank em out stuff you have to shovel out with a scoop in the bulk foods section.

I like the character of the current SLW. I like the bad @$$ wasp. I like the colors, even more than simplymaya. It could be inproved, sure, but is the full makeover really necessarry?

So, while I won't be going away because of it, I am dissapointed. I of all people know that stuff is hard work, but we cant all be polite and pretend to like it just for that sake... or can we?

Your right on one thing your intitled to your opinion It might be a little run of the mill, but its sure is a lot cleaner looking and sharper to. Looks very professional.

The current SL site is kinda muddy in colors and the layout isnt all that great this site upgrade is diffinatly a step in the right direction. You tend to loose pictures and text against a dark backround, when everything has so much dark color it kinda blends the images and text into the page and doesnt draw your eye to the pictures or text. The subtle addition of colors (Boarder/buttons ect...)on a white backround draws your eyes to the pictures and text. On the new site the text and pics pop off the page. Looks really good.
