Default Attachment size changed.

The maximum size of attachments is now 1mb. There should be no need for images larger than this, so please try and save your images for upload as ether jpg's or png's.

I say we pool our resources and give David a few 200GB Maxtor EIDE drives if he promises to up the size limit.

its not the hard drive space its the bandwidth, we are already on 9 gig per day now) was on 7 before the upped size

Wow, that is some real bandwidth. Thats fine, I'm not mad, just keeping you honest.

But I assume you have a plan for the ever increasing bandwidth usage.

yes we are investing in another server next week, now each server has a massive bandwidth allowence but as we are putting more movies into the servers this is the prority

Technically its nether bandwidth usage or storage that concerns me with the attachments dB its server load, and as for backups well you try backing up 2 gig every day its a night mare.

Also we have a lot of 56k users to take into account so we're also trying to keep image size down for them as well.
