Sweet this Mclaren is looking awsome.

After reading up on FPrime it sounds awsome if you havent checked out the videos watch them here. With a little more functionality added to Fprime (which they are working on) it is going to be an absoutly must have plug-in. I do beleave I am going to have to purchace this very soon.

Hey Phillip, would it be possible for you to change the backdrop color in the perspective viewport for the remaining videos?

The lack of contrast between the black background and black surfaces makes it hard to see exactly what is going on.

I would imagine that once I get to part 40 and 41 this is going to be a problem.

No it wont be added to LW8, its currently a 3rd party plug-in. Worley labs is deticated to makeing high quality plug-ins so they will probbly never sell it to newtek to add to lightwave.

Although after the release of LW8 Steve Worley has stated that he will be working with the Newtek developers to extend the Lightwave API so that more complete scene information is available for 3rd party plugins.

Reading between the lines, I'd say that would mean the door opening for LW to use 3rd party renderers (such as a future incarnation of FPrime, Brazil, Mental Ray, etc...)

Possibly yes. Anything that helps third party party Plug-ins communicate with Lightwave better is a very good thing.
