Default head from the inside lightwave tutorial

hey everybody

i'm working on that head tutorial from the book inside lightwave and so far i got this.
Right now i'm doing the eyelashes and i still got to render the whole thing but i wanted to post it already.
It's not perfect yet but considering i'm only working on lightwave for a month i'm very happy with the result so far .

Certainly seems to be coming along nicely there. I'd take another look at the curvature of your polys above the eye as there appears to be a ridge running from just above the outer side of the eye up into the forehead. You probably only need to move a couple of points inwards slightly to smooth that out.

Apart from that little niggle though, looking good.

thanks alot mark
i'll look into it.
Btw the skull and some other curves arent that perfect yet either (for instance the sides of the skull are abit too flat). Are there some tips to change that? Untill now i used the option smooth alot but this option doesn't seem to do everything i wanted.

Probably the best methods for doing this are either selecting points and nudging them individually or in groups, or applying the mag/dragnet plugins to a point selection.

You'll need to have a play with them to see which suits your style best however (and there's probably a whole host of other methods you could use to adjust it too)...

you can find some good stuff there to do just that. I didn't follow the tutorial exactly this time (kinda hard with organic modeling) but the concepts on how to build that nose ect were pretty clear with that tutorial
so gl with it bullet
