Question Splines

ok i did the mclaren tutorial (extreamly good and lernt loads btw) and decided to do my own car using what i have lernt. so i start off, iv got the blueprints cut up and sized up to teh correct size. Then i come to splines. i was wonderimng what on the blue prints im ment to be matching the splines to? im not sure is that makes any sence or not...

Generally, you want to be matching the overall outer shape of the car. Therefore, follow any 'hard lines' that are apparent from the blueprints. You'll also find that having plenty of reference photographs of your vehicle from various angles will also help greatly in trying to build the spline cage.

I'd suggest going back to the early McLaren vids and re-watching them to see how Phil goes about laying down the cage...
