Default working in 3d industry?

Any one here work in any kind of 3d industry and are using LW?

That depends on what you mean by, "3D Industry".
If you mean using LW professionally for a business, for the purpose of producing images and animations. Then yes I do!

If you are thinking about big time movie or TV. Then no. I wish! but no.

Well then! Yes I do! I work for a Defense Contractor. And at this time in history that is about all I can tell you on a public board such as this. Bummer ain't it.

I'm not half as good as most of the samples I see out there. However I am working on it. But what I can do has really blown these folks away. They were practically still working with paper cut out's before LightWave was introduced!!

I work part-time and freelance in Philadelphia, doing a lot of corporate and educational stuff. The work is scarce, especially now with the economy the way it is.

btw - I love the Basic Head Modeling tut. I've always been more of a stitcher then a box modeler and just the idea of establishing the outline of the front and side is so simple I can't believe I never though of that. When you grow out of one place, like the eye, it's sometimes hard to know where you are, even with ref images. Just that simple start really helps identify where you are and where to go to.
