This is my WIP, about 60% done.
I am stuck on the Glass though. I have it as one-way glass so there is no transparency. My problem is smoothing doesn't smooth the glass when light reflects off it. I multiplied the polygons but that didnt help cause they are still on the same planes. I feel like this is a stupid simple question, but what should I do to smooth it out? ![]() |

Did you make sure smoothing was turned on in the surface editor?

Sure did. Played with the values from 30% to 90%. What kills me is the whole Conn (Bridge) has the same geometry, but looks fine. My gut says it is some kind of reflectivity issue. If I could even round out my now multiplied polys, it think that may do the trick, but short of adjusting each point manually, I don't know of any slick way.

Select the window points and either perform a merge or weld points. It sounds as though you've got some discontinuous polys in there...

Hey I figured it out. Since I created each polygon manually, somehow my points were seperated. So I fixed the problem by welding them. Obviously different, disconnected surfaces cannot smooth to each-other.
![]() I guess it was one of those things that was so simple, it was hard to tack down. Live and learn, but I am not really feeling more intelligent than I was before. ![]() Thanks for the help Mark. |
