Default animating characters

i dont know how about u...

but...

for now ive done only some simple walk cycles in LW... and some other 3d apps. is it only me or FK gives u better results thank IK? i think i can get much more power and control from FK technique.

anyone? im rendering short animation now... a walk cycle. ive done it with my first "real rig" with IK chain on the legs. i must say that rigging in LW is really fun

vertiis,

I kind of agree. Generally I tend to find that using a mixture of IK and FK works best - IK for the general movement, then FK for those bits that need to be precisely placed (such as fingers squeezing a neck or somesuch)...

can u point me to any tutorials on creating hybrid rigs - FK/IK? i have never worked with rig like that...

btw... im finishing the rendering of my animation test... will post it in the wip section still some stuff to do with the movement... but... whatta hell
