Hey guys whats up? I've been working with LW for about 6 months now and am thoroughly enjoying myself. Earlier, I tried to tackle jobs much too hard for me. I tried to model the human head, which some say is the hardest thing to model, and i did it.. but my poly flow was messy and unorganized, having points with 5 polys attached everywhere. So I tried something much more simpler, a penguin. It does't really have any limbs or harsh curves that I have to mimic...they're all pretty basic. I'm not finished with it yet, but I just want to let yall see what I'm off to. My question is, after I model the penguin, how will I be able to texture its skin? I'm not familiar with UV texturing and could use much work in that department. I think this would be the method required to texture such an animal. Let me know what yall think... critiques are definately wanted, for I am a beginner and would like to learn more. Thanks, Jeff

Good start and your in luck. There is a new tutorial here on Uv mapping that might just do the trick for you.
