Default Insect Anatomy Reference

I've had a couple of ideas lately and i really want to model a couple of modern insects but it seems i get stuck before i start anything. I've searched through google and tried to find insect anatomy reference, but where ever i look i can't find anything.
My question is: Does anybody know of a place where i can get insect reference. (Or just an outline of the insect, like blueprints of a car but instead an insect's blueprints.) Hopefully somebody knows of a place so i can get my ideas into LW

well if you look at google-pictures and you give "insect anatomy" as search command, you will find some.

http://images.google.nl/images?q=ins...&start=20&sa=N

i think you allready tryed that and did not gave the results you wants.

maybe you should first think by yourself WHAT insect you want to make and then search for that.

EDIT: here are some cool side and top views from a fly:

Try this

or straight

There is probably not side and topview from the same insect, but at least the other and good textures.

Thank you for looking but i'm not trying to create a photorealistic insect, more or less a robot that has the same proportions of an insect. I'm trying to find a beetle of some sort. (The Stag Beetle looks cool, but i haven't found anything worth looking at.)
I'm gonna keep looking though....
