I sure hope you and Surface Editor get along. I want to see that pretty model finished, zipping around and firing those pulse cannons.

Default More detail

I have made a few more upgrades to my model "USS DEFIANT".
Added little more detail to the bottom side and back side.
Almost done!

What do you mean by 'hacking' exactly?

Default Hacking?

Ok man here are two examples one is hacked. (I really like Your models man, they are clean and wire is excellent) . For example you wouldn't just sink the arms on the human Right! Or stick the jet engine right thru the fuselage of the Air plane! That's is what I mean by "Hacked".

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Booleans and drill. I use them also. I just did not explain my self clearly. So sorry!

Default Texture

I have started Texturing my Model, the mesh is finally complete!
Pleas go Easy on my Texturing I'm new in this field.
Texturing is not Finished yet!
Can some one tell me how to create the Lasers and Shield damage
in LightWave! Similar to what they do in Star Trek films.
When the Lasers hit the shields it becomes visible.

First of all let me just say this.... That is one DAMN fine model! Now onto the subjuct at hand...for the sheild thingy.... an elipse\sphere with transparent polys should do the trick... just use an envelope with an animated procedural on it (with gradient alpha channel) I used it once on a small animation as a test and it seemed to work well.... If I can find it I'll post it..... anyhoo that's how I would handle it.
Good luck!

Nail,

Looks real nice so far.

If you want any texturing references, have a look at:

http://shark.warped.com/~matt/defiant.html.

Hope they're of some use to you.

Regards
Matt
