Thanks for the comments but if you notice I said in my first post that "I'm not using any reference from the movie."

That is part of the reason why I chose him, he's a character that has some importance but isn't shown too much in the movie.

For reference I use what the book says. I don't have time to look for it and quote it but all it says is that he has a wise pale face. Reading that for some reason made me think of the matrix style (don't ask me why).

Yep, that is an idea. But I'm not sure it really characterizes him.

Can someone tell me if this can pass (A moderater or someone incharge) ?

you know the only defining thing about him would be his pose or way of moving.. maybe if you put him crouching buy a thrown, kinda patting the arm rest that would make a acceptible final render.

what do you think kvaalen ? mike ?

oh maybe his ring ?

Sounds like a good idea, but in the book he sits on the stairs in front of the thrown.

But his ring is never mentioned in the book (as far as I remember).

BTW, Welcome to SLW.

For some reason (that I don't know) I don't really like the way he came out. So if none of the options mentioned above suit then I won't mind creating a new character (after all it is a two month challenge).

I have a question for anyone incharge...

I know it is a little late but I'd like to know if I can restart this challenge with a new topic. I don't know why but I don't like the wormtongue model I made and I can't think of any item that characterizes him. It's christmas now and LW [8] isn't out yet so I have some time. I have another idea that I think is much better.

So can I (please)?
I'd appriciate if someone could answer as soon as possible.

Sure, if you'd like. The deadline is still the same, though, I'm afraid. Good luck!

Ok, great. thanks!

So how do I continue? Do I create a new thread or do I continue this one?

I've already started a little modeling.

Well until someone answers how I proceed, I'll just post my progress of my next try here.

I'll be modeling a Nazguls' Flying Beast and the thing that characterizes him is the King of the Nazgul. I know you might think that it should be the opposite, but the Nazgul will only be a mass of cloth.

Now for the style... This is supposed to be nothing but funny! The style is Christmas/Santa. The beast will be red and green and funny looking even though he will look evil. And the Nazgul will be in red with white around the edges of his hood (looking like Santa), and there will be tons of presents behind. Don't you just love contrasts?

Now wish me good luck since it is almost the end of the challenge (9 days to go).

Here is my start, I've done a little more till now but I'll show it soon when it is a bit more complete.

Would you guys prefer if I attached the images since the IMG code has been turned of?

Well instead of asking for the IMG code to be turned on, I'll just attach the images.

Here is the body...

And an overall shot.
Note that he is supposed to have a bit of a cartoony aspect.. semi-cartoony.

A couple more "detail" shots (not like there is lots of detail, but I'm sure you guys understand what I mean).

I think that will be all for today.

I'm not taking any reference from the movie, it's all from a sketch I made (but I took the cage around the eyes and the tongue ideas from the movie). I'd gladly post the sketch if I had a scanner but since I don't, I'll see if I can take a decent picture with my digital camera.

I started working a bit on the Witch King of the Nazgul himself.

It's still deeply in progress and needs more details, but comments are welcomed anyway.

As I said before, I don't have a scanner, but I took a picture with my digital camera of this quick sketch I made and am using as reference. Therefore you'll have to forgive the quality.

I know it is nothing special but I'm just posting it since it is requested by the rules and guidelines.
