You can also set the subpatch division up or down. Turning it down will decress the lag. Hit O and adjust the subpatch division lvl usually 4 or 3 is good.

what is the tool or hotkey to patch seams
i have this house that i built and it has some seams that arent fully patched... need help

this is the screen shot.... although its a little pixely cuz i had to save it as jpeg for loading
the seam is circled though and some of it can be seen
if anything ill try to get a closer screen shot

I am not positive what is wrong from that shot but a couple things I would look for. Try merging points and see it that gets rid of that seam. Also, look to see if you have any 2-point polys. If that is a poly that is missing, manually create a poly to fill that in by selecting the points of the new poly in a clock-wise manner and hit 'p'. Help any?

since i am new to LW i dont kno how to work the merging points tool but i did make the extra polys.....although eventually i mananged to hide the seam behind the window......hopefully that doesnt interfere with anything

Merge tool is the 'm' key. Usually automatic works fine. 2 point polys can be found on the polygon statistics window. Press 'w' and make sure the polygon button is on in the lower left corner. From that window, press the - next to total (clears anything that is selected), then the + by 1 vetrex and by 2 vertices. This will select all 1 point and 2 point polys. hit 'x' to delete them.
