I've never tried car modelling myself but for a guy who has only had Lightwave for a brief period, this is looking excellent. Hah - took me ages to figure out what I was doing with LW. Looks good so far. Is this a spline based model you're doing here? Not so sure about the colour scheme at the moment though. Makes it look like its made out of plastacine, but its still early days for textures.

to Fallenswordsman: i have no clue how to work with splines and i cant find any tutes on how to use them (although the vip sections has them).

if anybody knows of tutes about splines then you're more than welcome to post them here.

If anything there is another forum question that i raised that nobody seems to answer....if anything please respond to it because i cant really move on in the car modeling project

That should give you a good idea of how to make cars using splines. Lewis, the author of the tutorial is pretty reknowned in the Lightwave circles for his car models as you might have seen if you look in the galleries here. Its pretty much a step-by-step tutorial he's got there. The only other spline tutorial I can think of is from SplineGod but his web site seems to be down at the moment. Best of luck

Oh yeh, the other tutorial at LWG for car building is here:

http://www.lwg3d.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14472

Might be more to your style of modelling, I don't know. Yes, these tutorials are long, but don't be discouraged. When making something as complex as a car, I think its best if tutorial writers give as much detail as possible rather than skipping over bits which you'll be wondering about or getting stuck on.
