Ok, Ive done quite a bit more modeling .. re-did the exhaust chimneys, which actually took hours :headbang: but Ive basically got most of my textures sorted .. although I am going to redo the lot of them in illustrator, so that theyre perfect.
I still have alot more modeling but its just nice to see what youre working for ... so here is a couple more renders ...

OK here we go .. nearly final render time .. please throw me some feedback ..

Did a few little things tonight :

Re-mirrored the main body of the car,
Built new front suspension [built into nose-cone]
Fixed alignment of all polys
Re-textured the whole model

I have a few more little things to model and have to get my final textures done and it'll be ready for a final render ..

Unsure of the render routine that Im gonna use but it'll most probably be just a pretty standard HDRi setup ...
Its been along time since I did a proper final render so surely there are some new techniques now, I am using LW8, so if you know of any sh*t hot routines please let me know .. I wanna put this to print at the end ..

Nearly there,
L

Done quite a bit of work on this model over the last few days .. been mucking around with a new nose-cone, textures .. ahh actually Ive nearly re-modeled the whole thing, evertime I see another decent picture I see something else that Ive done wrong .. gonna keep on going .. been a little slow coz Im learning actionscript2, but this seems to be ALOT more fun, but alas 3D doesnt make the bread and butter ..

Enjoy, and please give us some c+c .. as the more comments etc the more I work at it ..

Cher,
L

Here we go guys, Ive quite alot over the last week or so .. I am sure you will see the improvements .. to be honest I have remodelled the whole thing from scratch, that is why I havent posted in a while .. but heres where Im at ..

I really only have a few little bit to finish, I am also not very happy with the reflections [real like] it still looks like a '3d model' but Im getting there ...

Cheers,
L

OH! I am having a spot of trouble with one of my image maps .. does anyone know of a good resource with alpha texturing?
On the top in front of the cockpit I have a PNG which is half transparent .. but it renders either with no transperancy or not at all .. stupid thing, I'll have to keep rendering from anohter angle ..
