hey thanks for the tip Sharp!! i will make the white-yelow texture a bit dirty'er than it is now ( the upper white part is not even textured at the moment ) i also begin to work on the leg texture now!!

@ sspikedudley: cool it reminds you of the facehugger from the alienmovies. my mission was/is to give it some alien-look
I also modeled the facehugger some months ago ( maybe you saw the W.I.P of it at this forum )!!!

@ the rest: thanks

updates coming soon ( i hope )!!! texturing is a hard thing to do!!!

great texturing
UV maps??
i can't see any mistakes apart from it looks like there are now bumps where the foot texture joins the leg texture but apart from that it looks very natural

thank you all so much!!!

@sspikedudley: i have now 5 UV maps and added 5 bump maps for each part of the model ( nails, boney parts, leg and feet )

mmmh i wonder how many UV maps i will have when the model is finished.
I don't know if its a big problem to have many UV maps!! if the result looks good i dont care how many UV's i will have in the end of this challenge!!!

don't have much progress yet ( only tweaked some parts of the leg ). i think i first will model the head tomorrow and from their i create the body!!!

i also found a good reference picture on the net!!

end there goes my prize. Kick-ass job man!

Maybe, just maybe you could work a bit more on the part of texture with blueish-green color, don't know why, but there's something that is missing or need's to be improved, but don't really know what.

But really grat job so far man!
And no, I think having more uv maps itself are not the problem, but having more textures might increase rendering time.

good work bullet lots of good feedback on your work so far and as such i was wondering if you could give me a little help with uv mapping i haven't done it before and the results you are getting from yours are very good. I think it may be the thing i need to get mine just right. Any help would be great.
But again great work keep it up very keen to see the body and head progress
