Default August Challenge - Cchristensen - Normal

Someone has to enter this and defend SimplyLightwave so off I go.

Coming from the land of Jeffrey Dahlmer and Ed Gein I think it is only fitting that my Mad Scientist be the kind of guy that likes to build things out of biological parts. We'll see how gruesome I can get this lab in the next 23 or so days. When I first read the contest description the first thing I thought of was the 'Eye Guy' in Blade Runner (below). My lab won't resemble his but it will be some good inspiration.

Digimatt - Someone has to put those Maya people in their place

The eye just needs a few veins for effect. I'll add those a bit later. Right now I need to make more parts...er I mean objects.

I got the eye fully textured now. On the previous side shot the ball part was just procedures and a shader. I added an image map for veins and to darken around the outside of the Iris. I also darkened the edge of inside of the iris (Philip's suggestion). Redid the texturing on the optic nerve and a few other tweaks.

Well... It needs some salt and balsamic vinegar to really add to the flavour - no self respecting eye connoseur would stoop so low as to eat one without.

And here we have a severed hand which is a staple item for your typical homocidal mad scientist. Interesting tatoo the victim has.
