Let's see. If the cost was low enough more people would sign up for it, thus generating more income.
If the price is set too high, only a few will sign up.
Better to sell 1000 lifetime memberships than 20 or 30.

So, with that being said, and having seen all the other training ( sites, CD, DVDs, etc that are out there ) My guess would be ................

$250.

It might sound low, but i'll bet that more people would be williing to part with $250 than they are with a higher amount.

Anyway, that's my guess........ $250 ( US Dollars )

LOL Kev! I don't post mean things about you... and besides if I did, it's because Philip doesn't go on IRC anymore.

Btw, washing my car once a week is not a bad thing. it's a good thing! Let me tell you why:
1. good excercise, wax on-wax off
2. fresh air (just ignore the smoke belching vehicles that pass by)
3. personal satisfaction - you'll feel good about yourself knowing that you've helped another person in this world! WOW isn't that awesome?

Well with these figures I say see ya.... I'm still waiting to see the rest of the head modelling tutorial appear. I'd be working on get as needed bases. Wait untill the tutorials that interest me are complete and then order the CD compilations.

1. I don't have that cash to throw around
2. On 56k connection I see no benifit in having access to everything when I couldn't download in a life time.

2. From next week you can choose the size of your downloads.... from 1.44 mg (floppy size) to the full lump!!!

now where else would you get this :p

Sorry guys if this sounds like a piss on the party kind of post (which is not the intention) so if you are likely to offend easily don't read any further.

There are a lot of us 3D guys who find themselves out of work once a project ends and look to sites like this lovely one to expand their knowledge base.
As it is Simply LightWave is a great resource for both the fund happy and fund challenged of our community and the idea of a free lifetime V.I.P membership is as sound as a pound.

Here's the but.

I don't want to leave the folk who can't afford a nice fast broadband connection behind. I think it's totally correct to offer an exclusive service to fully paid up members (a V.I.P privilidged access) but to say that if you only have a 56K modem then you can't split the downloads into accessable bits is an insult to valuable members.

Like I said before I don't intend to offend anybody but I think I'll sit this vote out.

I envy those countries that have broadband at a price comparable to a loaf of bread. Some of us are not that privileged.

I totally understand there mate!

And I hope you understand that.... if not "push" but hope to pursuade people to support a site they use to help us pay the hosting fees of a 7 gig per hr in bandwidth server then thats what we need to do.

There have been occasions where it has come out of Mine/daves and phils pocket! especially with the back up server now in place.

And to think how much a 3d app costs and the 14 on a vip subscription....well I hope you get my point to mate

Thanks Petrik. You put the point across much better and so much more compactly than I did.
