yeah if you enable that it takes 10 mins to calculate my mesh but if i use this light setup it takes 40 secs for the same output

yea im trying it now on mine see weather it altars anything from without it. but if it makes a better look ill enable it to do my final render.
i see it makes a slight difference especialy where the light hits it not much changed tho. i dont know if you can but try densening the fire abit making it less cloudy, i carnt really explain it. try making it more fire and less smoke. |

oh you had to enlarge the smoke to
i prefer the fire in that one personally but the smoke looks like its comeing out of its skin so i prefer the other one. whata bout you? |

I like it. one thing can you make smoke come out of his nose that would be cool.

here is a shot with some better fire the one i had first time round for that wide angled shot
i had the nose smoke thought about an hour ago so i will work on that tomorrow what do you mean by front view of face?? |

I definelty like the blurr ( 1st one ) looks awsome man.
front view is him looking frist at me with both eyes I wanna see his entire face... if it's not to much trouble... |

give him some specularity, not to much. his eye dont look right being black, hope some of this helps Good luck Dae

I have to agree with dae on the lighting ( me being a film student and having to learn all the jobs.... Gaffer..... =) 3 point lighting is a must

well here are some updates with new lighting this is what you will most likely see in final version with neck being that little bit darker so you can't see where it ends

I would put some kind of texture on the horns/teeth they look to clean. Anyway good job on the renders

Very nice lighting. and awsome front view
I don't know how far you've come and I don't want my suggestions to hinder you nor upset you but ill speek "my opinion" from the front view the teeth look really thin and as black fire said horns and teeth are to clean... as for the head... as I stated awsome I like how you poistioned the dradons eyes making him look sort of menacing ( is that the right word?) waiting for your next update |
