Ok, the last thing on my mind is creating a character (I don't even know how to use splines:p) so I'll just download a character. I really have no idea of what to download so I'm just browsing.

If nobody else enters the competition do you still win?

The competition is run across sites - so we've got the SimplyMaxers and SimplyMayans to contend with as well. And the SimplyMayans really throw themselves at these competitions! (There's a lot more of them as well, but it doesn't stop us handing their butts to them every so often)

Good luck with the comp elnod! Hopefully a few more of the SLW gang will join in - we could use some reinforcements!

Cheers! priimate.

I just had a really cool idea.

I will get a World of Warcraft character (definately warlock) and animate a special attack. I'll have to pull a model out of the game somehow, someobdy told me its a Maya file but they said there has to be a converter out there somewhere.

Ok I cannot find a way to pull it out of the game, I think Blizzard saw that coming:p. I don't know anything about modelling with splines. When i add skelegons and convert them to bones, when i try rotating them, too much of the body moves! How do I change it?

You should deffinetly create some weight maps and assign them to your bones. They're not that hard to do but they can really improve your character, giving it more believable deformations.

If you need help on that try the free tutorials on Kurv studios on rigging. They're great for first timers

I've got a model now, I know we already have a dragon in the comp but its so cool with gravity applied. I think i'll do a flying sequence, then it will land and execute a special attack.

Ha ha - that seems to be very true - at least since I have been around.
