Default Matrix Reloaded...

Anyone else seen this yet?

Just got back from the midnight showing at my local cinema. And must say that this is an awesome film. (The chase scene is one of the best I've yet seen - more than on a par with those in Ronin!)...

I couldn't have been more disappointed with it. It isn't even in the same league as the first one.

Cory,

I'll admit that the storyline is a little twee and contrived, but apart from that, what did you find about it that really disappointed you?

As movies go it was ok, but we are talking about the sequal to one of the best movies ever made IMO and the 2nd just didn't compare. It seems that with the first one they raised the bar and with the second they did the limbo under it. The effects were built around the story in the first and they were flawless. Never did you see something and think 'that looked phony' whereas the second I thought the story was built around the effects and many times they just looked more like they belonged in 'Die Hard III'. There were also some questionable storyline things that didn't seem to jive IMO with the first. I have to let it go though or I will need years of therapy!

I see your point there. But I was under the impression (from seeing an interview with the Wachowski brothers) that the entire storyline was written way before the first film ever aired (including all the Animatrix shorts).

Must admit - it'll be interesting to see what happens in Revolutions in November.

Good movie not as good as the first IMHO but still a good film I look forward to the last part.

My god. That's one hell of a queue for a film

it was a money spinning joke

no where near as good as the first..... looked like rubberman in some of the fight scenes, and the flying scenes, what a joke!...let alone the "pulling out the bullet and heart massage"

slow...garbage...and a story line that was so drawn out just so they can get part 3 out.

the biggest dissapointment of the year for me.
