First Lightwave "project"
I just started to make my very first "project". Roughly what this is going to be is a gameboy-like device with various attachements. This is aventually going to become the interface for the main page of my website ( www.tube-puppy.com ). I plan to use the final 3D image in Macromedia's Flash 2004 MX to add some animations / multimedia etc..
Can someone point me to where I can read ( or better yet just plainly tell me ) about how to make / apply textures in Lightwave 8 ? ( I have Photoshop CS ) Below is the link to a screenshot/s of my progress. http://www.tube-puppy.com/LW/tp_1.html |

theres the basic procedural textures which can be applied to the surfaces and theres uv maps
you create a uv map useing the T in the WTMCS in the bottom right go to new and set this as a type eg planer across one axies. then in the surface editor just goto the colour option and click on the T to the right. in there select the projection to UV and select the UV map you create for that surface. then load in the picture you create to put onto the surface i carnt really explain is much but if you download the tabasco tute from this site it goes through it all. |
