Here is my actual WIP : a "hand-made" arcade... (it's not 3D sorry)
So as I told you it's not 3D, but I think it may be interesting... Some picture of this "from scratch" furniture :
I will keep you informed of the rest if you're interested. Cya! =)

Woah... Well smart. Please keep us up to date. (What's the eventual plan? PC/MAME in the box, or original circuits?)

Yes Mark, there is a PC inside (outside on the pics) with Mame, and other all great emulators. There is a MP3 Juke-Box inside too, etc...

That is so sweet! I want one!
I've got a couple of questions... Did you use a TV for the Monitor? Where did you get Joysticks like that, that work with a PC? Can you control the entire thing with the joysticks? If so, how did you get that to work? I've got an old PC I didn't have any use for... until now. |

Arcade...
rich_is_bored, I goning to try to answer to your questions.
First, yes I used a TV for the monitor. It's pluged to the "Video Out" of a Radeon 7200 and it automatically boots on the TV when the PC is turned on. You can use 2 kind of cables : simple RCA (composite) cable or an "hand-made" VGA/Peritel cable (best results with it). Next, I bought joysticks to Happ Controls. That works perfectly with a PC, but you need to buy an I-Pac here in order to use them as a keyboard. You can't control the entire PC with joysticks under windows, but you can find alternatives in order to do it. For instance, you can automatically launch Mame when Windows starts and it works fine (you can control all under Mame). Otherwise Mame is available under DOS, and you can control all with joysticks, it's as perfect as under Windows.

That is a really excellent setup! Amazing.
Is there a website or place to get some information on how to make your own for those interested. I was thinking of going hi-tech for my basement "fun-zone" when it's finished but this is making me think again. (Well it's still hi-tech - except for the games.) |

I've already got a pool table and dart board. A "arcade machine" would be the icing on the cake.
