Unhappy July/Aug-Noob

Howdy! I have no idea why I'm entering this contest, I guess I'm bored because I suck with lighting... Anyway, Im gonna make a lightsaber, in what kind of setting...I have no idea. I need some constructive crticizm when I start lighting. Wish me luck!

What the hell are you talking about? I don't fear or loath the saber. I said I suck at lighting.

Fear and Loathing is the theme for the competition.

You have to make something that gives the mood of fear and loathing.
If you want to do something with sci-fi, you're welcome to do so, but giving the F&L mood to a sci-fi pic may be very challenging, that's why they asked...

for instance, vader sticking his saber to your throat COULD give the right mood if done right, but a saberfight 2-shot would be more sci-fi oriented than it is F&L and thus off-topic....

make sure the rules are read carefully! Of course, you can make any kind of image you want, but the judging criteria is creating a scene concentrating on lighting, atmosphere, and mood, using the theme of the challenge, "Fear and Loathing".

Good luck.

Default blah

OK....I know the rules, what I've decided was to make a lightsaber laying next to darth's helmet as a form of hate, aka loathing darth vader.
