Default Cyborg Arm and Hydralic Pumps !

Im making a Cyborg arm at the moment, mostly to get to know IK and general animation etc.

Anyways im almost done with the arm (need a bit of whires floating around, textures etc) Now when I started out making the arm, one of my goals was to make the arm belivabel, not 100% realstic, but belivable. So I decided that i needed a hydralic pump to control the ovement of the outer arm (marked in green). The joint moves with the outer arm.

My problem is that when the outer arm moves (all movement marked with yellow) I want it to look like the hydralics pulls the arm. (Hydralics marked in red) Is there any tricks/ideas of how to get the hydralics to work.. ?
I hope you get my drift !

Another question ! Does anyone know how to make a partial wireframe render (Like my Print Screen picture below) ? If it is posible at all !

Hi, Tabu. For hydraulics, I suggest that you take a look at this tutorial:

I hope this helped.

for the partial wireframe render you can set specific surfaces to render outlines.
