Default Trouble opening videos

Can anyone tell me how to view the videos that we can download, I can't seem to open them using windows media player or quicktime. How do I get the Divex codec to work with either one them?

I always open them with the Divx Player. Right-click the link and choose 'Open with..' if you have that option.

- Download DivX ( http://www.divx.com/divx/index.php ). The version on the left
- install it
- restart windows
- watch the videos with windows media player
