simple question thread
as im modeling this car im having a few problems following the tutorial that was provided, i decided to start a thread addressing problems as i come across them.
problem 1. in the tutorial it says to select 3 points and hitting ctrl p to create a polygon, but when i do it, it creates a line, or a spline, but its hollow, it doesn't create a ploly, it just joins the polys with a line |

i believe that the polygon is flipped, go into polygon mode - click where the polygon is supposed to be - then hit the "f" button to flip it, hopefully that answers your question,

You're right - Control-P will create an open curve. If you need to create an actual polygon, then simply hit the p (note lower case) key.

Yeah some times Philip gets some of his hot-keys crossed. I'm sure he is thinking the right thing, doing the right thing, and things he is saying the right thing. It's happened to me.

Truth be told though - like you say - he's doing the right thing and thinking the right thing.
I'd not even noticed that he's not saying the right thing. I think i'll need to go back and revisit the McLaren tutes now purely to build a snagging list |

We can't forget to mention about the order of selecting the points... clockwise or counter clockwise
