Rocket Smoke Trail
Hi,
I'm looking to create a smoke trail effect for a small rocket fired from a launcher. I'm guessing that the best method for this is an emitter parented to the rocket using some hypervoxels. I'd really like to find a good tutorial for it though, as from what i've read there are loads of different approaches to this kinda thing, volumetric, sprite based etc. The crucial thing is that i'm working to a very tight deadline so I need the simplest method possible, that looks ok, and that would also render in a reasonable amount of time. If anyone knows any good tutorials for this kinda thing, or has any quick tips, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks a lot. |

i have never used hypervoxels or emmitters but i did a search through the SLW database and i found a thread that talks just a little bit about your problem.
