Default Splined Nissan 350Z

Well this is my first spline project so it might not be too great, anyway the attached picture took me about 4-6 hours to make since i was experimenting with splines.
all suggestions and crits are welcome since i want this to come out in the long run

i never resized the pic so its a bit enlarged...

splining is a bit hard because im not using any tutorials, its just time consuming,
anyway i have done a bit more on the front, more updates will follow since i have already updated the car but havent taken a screen shot yet,

I'm modelling the same car following Allan Soriano's tutorial at the Newtek site. Instead of using splines he use EXTENDER. It seems to work, that too. When using splines I have problems getting the patches "flow" - I often end up in a corner where I get a bunch of triangle polys. Any solutions? I 'm eager to see your 350Z and hope to learn.

for the triangle polys - so far i havent had that problem with any of my splining that i have done (or patching)

I tried following Soriano's tutorial but for some reason i couldn't follow the tutorial at one point or another,

By the way i have already made a thread a while ago with a 350Z, i never finished it because it got too confusing,

Well good luck in modeling your 350Z,

another update tomoro because im too tired right now to post one,

Another update: finished the front section and now finishing up that back part..

A question to Splines Pros - Is it possible to be spline heavy or it doesnt really matter how many splines you include?

never used any spine for modelling, simply because the final model has a so high number of polygons, why don't you try with a simple box

The number of splines you are using seems fine to me - concentrate on one part at a time just getting each component accurate before moving onto the next. The poly count all depends on how you patch things at the end of the day. But this looks okay so far. I think you'll only start running into difficulties when patching things - the making splines part is relatively easy.
