what a bad start
hey folks.
this year really had the worst possible start for me. On christmas my dog dusty needed a surgery and it's been getting worse with him since then... He grow weaker almost every day and finally didn't want to eat anymore. Just 3 days ago I had to put him to sleep One of the hardest decisions in my life. You know what they say about man's best friend... it's true! Over 12 years ago I freed him out of an animal home, we got in my car and drove on home. From the first second it was just like a ride with an old pal on a sunny day... I pretty soon realized he was afraid of feet; one fast move and he would hide somewhere... go figure. But after a couple of weeks, he wasn't anymore He'd sleep next to my bed every night, growl at people I disliked, happily, tail wiggling welcome people I liked. He learned to open doors, drawers, the oven, the fridge; no piece of food was safe He howled to the harp and barked at the postman. He chased cats and chickens, just to drown them in saliva He was playful and kind. It's so terribly sad.

Sorry for your loss phil. I had a dog once, grew up with him and to suddenly not have him there by your side hurts real bad.
Chin up, you still have all those good memories. |
