Talking horsy of corsy and dolly update

hi there!
here are some test renderings from my first lw scene. i must say that organic modelling in lw is preatty easy.

ive changed lighting in the scene - i think i will leave it as it is. few more models and im ready to start texturing.

hope you like it... comments and crits are greatly appreciated.

regards,
vertiis.

Looks nice, I would suggest making the muscles in the back bulge a bit more and maybe make the front jaw a little squarer.

BTW, you should enter this to the toys chalange.

oops.. forgot some comments on the model, some pedals would be nice, also I think it looks very difficult to turn right now.. and last, it would be cool with saslite hair

hi all! thank you very much for your replies

you really have to excuse me but i will not change the model of the horse toy. maybe except the back bulge (thanks Kvaalen). as to the pedals... the toy is based on the original one from the 19th century. i would like to keep it as true as it is possible.

thank you once again. ill try to send some more updates as soon as possible.

this place is really cool... hope we will have at least 5000 members in few months.

regards,
vertiis.

It looks like the front wheel should be moved forward slightly so that the axle is centered between the hooves. Otherwise, the turning radius of the wheel is quite limited.

I also noticed that in the horse render there are handlebars, but in the dolly picture there aren't. Is it modified for the dolly picture, or is that just an earlier render?

Great work! Can't wait to see more.

yeah... the horse movements are really limited... but that's how original toy looked and worked like.

as to the handlebars. dolly picture is an earlier render with "beta" version of horsey

here is a new item for my scene

take care,
vertiis.

thank you. actually im really amazed how much fun is modelling with LW. awesome app... modeller at least. ive noted some missing things in layout. you should see light system in i.e. cinema4d. even that... damn it's like a drug. are you sure that luxology or newtek is not giving some free lsd portions to the package? )

here it is another small update... ive played a little bit with lighting...

It's cool but it looks like the bars that hold the handle don't have enough segements.

For a first LW scene I think this is amazing

Only thing I don't like so much is the window. I think it would look better a little bigger and maybe with some bars in it, in a kind of cross shape. Am I making sense here !?!?
