Default My First Lightwave Scene

This is my first scene created in Lightwave - the surface of Mars. I have had some experience modelling in Maya 5 and Cinema 4D previous to this.

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated!

*EDIT*
I forgot to mention. I know the lines of rocks look a little too perfect. I will correct them to make them look a lot more random.

Just the other day I went to my doctor and I was reading a magazine and I was looking this picture of Mars.
Comparing to yours, I see very little difference, but the sky is much orange (Well I'm color blind any ways).
About your picture I didn't like much the rocks been so simetric positioned but the overal, I like it very much.

Yes, the position of the rocks needs adjusted. You can see some parts of the image where several rocks form obvious lines.

Aside from that, great image.

i like this.

one comment on the background, it looks unfinished compared to the ground. its hard to get an atmosphere like that of mars, but take a look at the following:-

You should use procedual textures instead of that pretty ugly imagemap on the ground, I think it would look better...nice work though

this is a planet made by voices3d Mars
