Default subpatchs welded knifed showing lines

hi ive just created a head using one of your fantastic tutorials that looks surprisingly pretty cool. but ive come to halt. ive noticed when im playing around with the head in lightwave there are these mysterious lines that appear. like they are some parts of the box have a square grid over it.

I think this has to do with having knifed some polys and then rewelded them. anyway ive attached a render of the problem and highlighted the areas.

its probably something really simple but if anyone could help me out on how to get rid of these funky(funky bad/weird) lines it would be great.

cheers thanx

Welcome to SimplyLightwave

1) Alright open up Modeler.
2) Open Polygon Statistics (hotkey 'w')
3) Click on the plus for all the '2 vertices' that are there.
4) While they are highlighted, delete them all.

Just to caveat this, make sure you're in Polygon mode (Ctrl-H) before selecting and deleting
