Lantern (new)
This is a lantern i was just playing around with ready for a scene i am working on Please tell me what you think.

I want to push you here and say that I think you can make a better lantern than this. Its looking good for a basic lantern, but I think that you might be able to do a lot better by adding some extra details to it. A quick google image search on lanterns might give you a few pieces of inspiration but here's an image I found of all different types of lantern that you might want to draw from.

This looks a whole load better than the original! Much more decorative and functional looking. Great improvement.

thanks for pushing me swordsman i compared it next to the old one and i am ashamed to call the first one mine
now i am gonna spend some time making a post for it to stand on and make the inside of the lantern and work on the lighting for the text renders |

well here is an update with an unfinished post and some hanging brackets which still need decorations as does the post but i might just add those to the post with a bump map
