Default Lantern (new)

This is a lantern i was just playing around with ready for a scene i am working on Please tell me what you think.
I was shooting for an oldish feeling and still have to start the textures on it but here is a raw render
Thanks

I want to push you here and say that I think you can make a better lantern than this. Its looking good for a basic lantern, but I think that you might be able to do a lot better by adding some extra details to it. A quick google image search on lanterns might give you a few pieces of inspiration but here's an image I found of all different types of lantern that you might want to draw from.

Sure, if you go to this URL:

http://www.sitespecifier.com/traditional/lanterns.htm

Then click on any of the images will bring up a bigger, more detailed image at a slightly different angle.

This looks a whole load better than the original! Much more decorative and functional looking. Great improvement.
