smooth shift problems
When smooth shifting the headlights of the ML F1, I get some
sharp "star-edges" around it. Philip doesn't. What do I wrong ? |

Any time you use smooth shift on a set of quads you can be sure that there will be a few vertices with 5 shared polys.
Check this out... Plane Constructed of Quads Center Quads Smooth Shifted Inward Resulting Vertices That Share 5 Polys Check the video again. I'm pretty sure he has a pinched corner like that too, at least until he adjusts the subpatch weight. |

if you sub devide them and when useing smoothing. they will not show. it only shows when in sub patch.
as you can see with some models on here in wireframe they use triangles which gives almost or all points have >4 connections. so he might have done that. |
