Wright Brothers Airplane
I've started work on a Wright Brothers Airplane. This is my first original project posted on here, most of my other stuff really sucked, but this I am kind of happy about. I am thinking if making the "ruffles" between the ribs in the wings small, but I donno. Tell me what you think of it so far.

Looks good so far! The ruffles look okay to me, but then I'm not an aviation historian. Plus I love the fact that you can "see" the underlying structure through the material.

Heh
I know it's not done yet, but if you tell me the one worst thing about it, i'll work on that, so then maybe at one point, there won't be to many worst things. So come on, make fun, say it's ugly. Just be a little specific! Last edited by PolarBear53; 13-07-2004 at 10:32 PM. |

Thanks, right now I'm kinda having problems with it. There are a bunch of poles that connect the elevators(little wings) to the body, and all i have to go by are really confussing schematic drawings and really old pictures. It's hard to tell how they work so it's kinda hard to model. But i'll get an update as soon as i get that part done.

well, looks good this far. Just make it close enough to the original, unless u want it to actually work. oh and ur supposed to leave some space in the middle of the big wings for the pilot.

I'm trying to make it close, but i'm not obsessing over if it is exact, more of if it looks ok.

So I just formatted my hard drive. And I zipped the 11 gig from it that I wanted to keep and moved it to another computer. But the program I was using(alzip) wouldn't make files over 4gig, so i made 4 files of 2gig. Then moved them. Aparently i forgot to move one and it won't unzip the stuff unless everything is there. So I think i'm done with this project.
Oh yea, I even finished the supports for everything. So it was farther then my last picture by a bit. ADD ON: A new advance in this project has come along! It kept asking for the last zip file, and i didn't have it, but now this time i was like, shut up and do it anyway, and it listened to me and unzipped everything i had. So i got it back Last edited by PolarBear53; 25-07-2004 at 06:34 AM. |
