Default Faster Servers, Bugs in here.

Well we're running load balanced across more than one server everything's been pretty much redesigned the front end has staid the same backends been updated in an effort to keep speeds good.

Please report any bugs in here, bad links, misspellings ec cetera.

10 Free points the person that spots the most errors I judge who, no one else gets a say, just to avid any arguments.

Have fun.
David.

Hmm, nice update...

The quick links (new forum Post & view your recent posts) all go back to SM and not the respective sites...

The points transfer at SL shows page not found... (oops guess it works now.... must be error on my end)

The forum link at the bottom of the main page is linking to SM's forum

The 63 forum posts today 's link is also back to SM's forum.

Hmm a question however,,, SMax is still not under the transfer options???

Another one - although this might just be me being a tart

Using Opera as my browser, I can't actually log into the site - for some reason entering the username / password simply returns me to the login prompt rather than accepting the login. I can log in through IE with no problems though, and then the login appears to have taken with Opera ....

Cheers for the heads up

It was just logging into the site - enter username and p/w - click login and simply returned to the same page - same state...

Gotta find errors, gotta find errors - must....earn....points...
Okay, at the top of this page you have "DVD's" - shouldn't need an apostrophe. That's about all I could come up with

Where ya been, Mark?

Oh yeh, by clicking on the DVD's button it takes you off to a page labelled "Simply Max" in the title bar.

Edit: On the front page, if you hold your mouse over the Upload button you get "Upload your Lightwave realted items" - realted is a typo.

Edit: Same error with the downloads button - the mouse over says "realted" not related.

Edit: Forums button at the bottom of the home page points to the SimplyMaya home page, not the SLW home page.

Edit: On the McLaren tutorial page, http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...tml?tut_id=504 you have a typo in the description "Fututure" should be "Future"

Edit: Stratocaster tutorial page http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...mhtml?tut_id=7
In the description, "disection" is misspelt. Should be "dissection"

Edit: Ear modelling tutorial page
Capitalize the "M" in "Maybe".

Edit: Movie download page in the Download FAQ you have the question "OK so iv downloaded the tutorial in parts how do i recombine them?"
Need to alter iv to I've. "i" should be capitalized to "I" (might also want to spell out OK as Okay)

Edit: Movie download page again in the Download FAQ. Second question reads: "I cant join my file together what should i do?"
Need to add an apostrophe in "can't" and capitalize the "I"
Also in the answer to that question, you need an apostrophe in "won't"

Next question down on Movie download page: "Can I join parts together if im using a mac?"
Need an apostrophe in "im" to make it "I'm" (might also want to capitalize the "m" in Mac"

Movie download page again - regarding the MD5 checksum question - the first line is very long and doesn't really make sense when read. Might want to put a full stop in before "first" to break the sentence down a bit.

Edit: Sunset Free tutorial page - http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...tml?tut_id=506 - typo in the description "wodden" should be "wooden"

Edit: Forum Leaders button on the main pages doesn't seem to work properly (no users listed)

David,

Don't worry about the Opera thing. It was just me being a tart! Got the cookie settings all screwed up...

One thing that has kept me away for a day or two from the site....If you type in 'Simplylightwave.com' in the adress bar it takes you to a page that says that the simply sites are down for an upgrade to the new servers.

I found a small but peevish way around it. you have to type in 'www.' Now i don't ever use that because to my knowledge IE should take care of hte problem and transfer the 'www.' into the adress.

Now im not lazy but some people might not find a way around it.

Thats about everything that i had to say that the SimplyLightwave detectives haven't said.

Cheers
