SubPatch mode
When I press tab to go into subpatch mode, I get this strange blue dotted outline around my object. It Doesnt matter if I am in wireframe shaded , wire frame, smooth shade....it does it in all of them. All of the tutorials I have seen when they goto subpatch it doesnt look this way. I can still model but it makes it a little more confusing to look at.
Thanks for any help, Thomas Hazlett

The blue cage you describe is the subpatch cage. that's completely normal.
Grab the manual, and read about subpatch mode, you'll see what I mean. Hoop |

To switch it off, open the display options panel and uncheck the 'Show Cages' option.
