Default March 2003 Challenge

Right then lets get started on this new challenge

This months challenge....

"Video Game Challenge"

So what this means is for you to pick a character from a computer game past or presnet and model it up!! So maybe this could be pac man - or duke 3d! The choice is yours) Now to make this a little more fun we can spice this challenge up a bit - so maybe pac man with a twist? maybe holding a big machine gun... or duke in a Ballerina to-to (like one of these http://store4.yimg.com/I/lollipopkids_1727_34258)

Hopefully lots of you join, it was a little quiet last month so Im hoping for more. This is NOT just for advanced LightWave users, but for all levels! This is a great learning experience, just make sure you post your topic with the sentance structure below. Either:

"March Challenge - Name - Noobie"
or
"March Challenge - name - Normal"

Rules:
1. Texturing is allowed.
2. Wire frame shots must be presented at random times.
3. Various shots of the progress, throughout the whole challenge, at different angles.
4. Concept Drawing or Picture, to be presented (where possible).
5. Submit your stills at 640x480, for loading purposes.
6. Final render can be at any size you wish, and all artwork in the render has to be made by yourself.
7. Finish by last day of month midnight at latest ( Central European Time )
8. Mark final render saying "FINAL RENDER" within the post. There can only be 1 final render by the way.
8. Everything in your final render has to be modelled by you during the challenge.
9. Have lots of fun!

If you have any questions post them here, or PM me if its more private.

Good luck everyone!

I like the idea, now I have to find a good game character.
Does the model have to be lo-poly like a game model? I don't suppose so but I just want to make sure.

as for your question - sure! dont worry about low poly to much as it isnt going in a game ... plus that dress must have nice high poly count frills

I think that I will try to get in on this one, but I am already taxed with organics as it is.
