Cool A noob's steps

I do 3d since 1 month and it is one of my first projects. The problems are 2 darks for the steps and some holes with the subpatching.

this isnt bad

holes can sometimes be where points are not joined, look where the hole is in subpatched mode and check the are out unsubdivided.

i dont know what you mean by "2 darks for the steps"

you could go into one of the lights properties and turn off shaddows. or by the looks of the scene the lights are close enough together that you could likely get rid of one. and increase the others intensity to get the same brightness.

You might also want to experement with different light types to see the effects.

oh man. Freeze those pillars and put smoothing on them. YUCK! lol
Seriously though, if it's one of your first it isn't bad at all.

looking good, there is a strange shaddow in the background. my guess is that you have your sky on a polygon. to fix that you could set the sky up as a background, texture environment. or you could use sky tracer 2 (it has some presets.

Welcome in the lightwave world You must to take the time with modelling. Your dolphin can be interesting with some chages of the mesh. Can you post a wire of the dolphin please.
