Looking well smart. The headlights need some work on them at the moment - they look a little too much like solid pearls at present...

Thankyou
Cheers Mark,
Would you go for modeling the headlight housing and just put a quartz glass surface on the headlight glass itself. Cheers again Alan. |

Re: Thankyou
Model the interior with a good chrome surface (model the bulb as well) - then model the glass over the surface too - this way you can apply a texture map to the interior of the lens to get the correct lens look as well as having an authentic looking interior to the headlight.,.. |

HDR Reflections
I used image world with a hdr image. Just set set up your lights
has you would normally within your scene then turn them all down to zero turn on image world set it to 100% to start and start test rendering. PS you do not neccessarily need to turn down your lights to zero you can use them in conjunction with image world Re: The car surface here it is. Cheers Alan |

Im having trouble wit hthe actual rendering... Ive done as you stated above but no matter how high I set the rays per evaluation it seems that the image continues to look spotty... Are there any perameters that I should be changing other than what you outlined above?? thanks..

Image world
Open up light properties click global illumination enable
radiosity, on the right of radiosity is the type choose backdrop only then start rendering with say 4 x 12 until you are ready to do your final render. Then you can go up has high has you wish. You can also go into the image editor and edit the hdr ie the contrast and hue and alike. Hope this helps. Cheers Alan. |

Could someone please help, I,m getting nowhere fast with
the headlight of my mini. The best I get is a jam jar bottom and they dont look like that. This seems to be my only stumbling block so anyone out there please help. Cheers Alan. |
