Default backdrops

hi, i just watched the tut on setting up backdrops. but when i go in display options and backdrop, click on load image, i click on the image i want to load and nothing happens, it just goes back to (none). can anyone help me please. it would be much appriciated.

yup..make sure you are trying to load a compatible image format.

Well, I've just tried this with a bitmap image in LW[8] and it works fine here...

Are you sure the bitmaps are OK? Not corrupt in any way - can you load them into Photoshop? If so, try saving them out into another format (such as TIF or JPEG) and see if you can load them...

yea i did all that, tried every filetype and still not working, does the image have to be in a certain folder or something???

Nope. Images can be in any folder. What version of LW are you running? It's possible I guess that you could also have a corrupt config file.

You can try backing up then deleting your configuration files (under Windows, these should be in your C:\Documents and Settings\<username> folder).

When you launch modeller again, it should recreate the default config. You will need to reload any plugins however.

im trying to do that and there is something wrong with my comp. i think i got a virus cause i cant open my computer or documents or anything like that so once i get that all figuered out im gonna try that thanks mark

Any luck FreshPrince?? I am having the exact same problem when trying to load an image. I tried the config. workaround but still no luck.

You might want to try reloading your import/export plugs.
