Nice sketch, good luck!
It's funny how people only start to join the challenges in the middle of the month.

Thanks I'm thinking I may actually do a finished painting of this when I have time. I started modelling the body last night. I'll put some shots of it online later today... bye for now.

No crits so far.. he mesh is clean and it seems you have a 'real nurbs' background.. Maybe you should reduce the pol count on the upper part of the wing but you could have done it for some reason

Thanks for the comments so far everyone. About the upper wing, Yep I'm gonna reduce the poly's by a factor of Tons! I'd never used rail extrude before and I thought this would be a time where it would work well. It did, however I had no idea how many poly's it would create,.... So I left the model alone last night and decided that I would re-do the wing tip and then move on today...

thanks again.

Well here is the basic hand shape... I will probably have to add more geometry to the "pointing finger before I'm through... the the shape will not vary to much from this one.

Wow, what was I thinking??? did you look at the head in the last post? Thats what happens when you rush! So even though I said I wasn't going to post for a while I had to fix the head.....I'll make it up to my wife later this week , Anyhoo here is the new head with a better UV map.... the head was remodeled using the Dan Ablan technique from "Inside Lightwave 6" If your new to lightwave you should take a look at this or his updated book "Inside Lightwave 7" both are awesome and fool proof.. see even I can do it!
