ive been working on this for about a week now im thinking of adding some graffiti on the walls and maybe some more grime and dirt on the floor before i try to make my final renders. i added pieces of paper all over the place but it just doesnt seem to be enough but then again i dont want to clutter the scene any input would be great ...........

How about some steam from a busted pipe/valve?
You could have some water run-off from the valve to the floor, the steam jetting out, and maybe a poster/memo on the wall opposite that is drooping because of the steam. I would definately add some water content to the floor. You would get some nice reflections from a couple of puddles. Or a busted wire on the wall that is sparking so you can see an electrical surge, with the sparks adding an orang glow to a close environment. Or................live dangerously!!! Add both!! That way you give the image an intensive atmosphere because of the combination of water and electricity. Of course, with the electrical surge, you could dim the lights slightly for effect as a power-drain. Water and electricity!! Aww, friends for life! lol ~~CM! |

because the scene is so dark, it is difficult to see that there is water there at all.
the white of the forum doesn't help, as this glares the eyes from seeing small color shifts. the advantage of having it spill over is that it will be caught by the light more, and it will draw the viewers attention toward the drain, whereas at the moment the eye is drawn down the tunnel. this is not a bad thing, just stops you from examining the scene more fully. I personally would go for the overflow. ~~CM! |
