Unhappy rotating back to correct axis

hi, when i was modelling i kind of create it facing the wrong axis.
So the sides of the body is facing along the z axis and the front and back is the x axis, somehow i can't rotate it back to the correct direction with the front and back along the z axis, anyone knows how to revert it?

In modeller, make sure you have nothing selected, set action center to selection then begin rotating in the top view, making sure you have the numeric panel open.

Once you have started to rotate, perform a Ctrl-Z in modeller to undo the change (the numeric panel should still contain the settings for the center point, axis, etc). Then simply set the rotation amount to -90 degrees and apply.

You might need to hit F2 to center the object onto the origin after rotating if it is not centered initially.

am i missing out on a technique.

is there another way? i'm still stuck with my model facing the wrong axis...
