I'm looking into getting lightwave for our company. I'm a little confused, the free tryal program looks different from the free video tutorials that are on there web page. Is this just because a lot of the features are not included in the tryal? I know it does not save or have full rendor capabilities in the tryal program but I'm wondering, the control panels look different in the tutorials than the tryal program. I just want to make shure I get the wright program. Does Version 8 have everything I would need to make photo realistic store displays, packages of products and multimedia 3D presentaions?

In a word :Yes!
The trial is probably version 7.5, only allows saving with a few points and vertices, you can play with the GUI and make it your own, simply by buying a license and receiving a dongle, it turn into the real deal. I would recommend you order the V 9.0 due out in the 4th qtr which is cheaper, better and right now includes Eon's Vue Infinite which is a slick powerful terrain editor. You will probably be given free upgrades till v 9.5 also, timing is everything! It will do anything your heart desires.

Lightwave is one of, but in my opinion the best modeler,animator, and renderer out there, don't even think about getting Maya, or 3D studio max, you see I'm only thirteen and i have also tried the trials for Maya, and 3d studio max and Lightwave 3D, nope!, the only one of which i could create things 100% better was Lightwave, I am creating some cool stuff and..........IM 13!!!!.......... . If you get Lightwave beileve me you will NOT regret it, honestly!, it is the easiest and fastest 3D software in the world!!!!.

P.S also, i would really wait for 9.0 before it comes out because.........this is when it gets seriouse!!, my dad said he's gonna buy it for me when it comes out!!! ^^.
