Suggestions/Requests
I just ordered/received my first DVD, "The Graveyard Scene". Excellent! The style fit me to a tee both subject and teaching wise. Great job! Thanks.
A few suggestions/comments though... 1. I know I'll have the scene when I complete the tutorial but I was surprised none of the scene files were included with the DVD. 2. That said, a high resolution render too. Maybe a link to one on the DVD product page. 3. Also, maybe it is something at my end but, none of the "sample video" links on the DVD product pages work. The links are all the same and just reload the page. An additional note...Shipping took a long time, almost 20 days and I ordered from the US with the new US shipping. |

The Graveyard DVD set has no scene/model files manly because its a free form tutorial, allowing the user to add/modify ideas explained within it.
Other DVD sets do carry the scene/model files eg the mech as this set of discs cover a larger range of subjects such as UV mapping, you may not like the model but you can learn apply UV, then take it that to the your work. I agree some Hi-res final renders would be good. I`ll try to get these for any later DVDs produced. The sample video`s should be running, but having just moved the tutorial files from another server, so they just need to re-linked, I`ll get Dave to look at this. Post ! I know..There have been some major problems with the US system, this has been looked into and hopefully should be working now. You can always order from the UK in which case you will normally get your discs in 4 - 10 days. |

That's actually very cool - the moon looks like its made out of plasticine complete with finger prints in it. Yep, very Wallace and Gromit here
